10 Pounds to Lose
For anyone that has given birth, you can fully understand the daunting task of getting back into shape after giving birth. Many of us
have had very demanding cravings during pregancy which will ultimately result in that unwanted weight that we must try to lose after
pregnancy. Mine were so demanding that I put on a whopping fifty pounds during the nine-month long adventure. I have worked very hard to
lose the extra weight, with 10 pounds left to lose.
The last little bit of weight has been very stubborn and although I forgo all the little treats that I adore and my diligent workout
schedule, the weight just won't come off. At the moment I am looking for a solution to the final bit of weight. Having only 10 pounds to
lose may not seem like a big deal, but it really is when you are so focussed on your goal. Those final few pounds can be extremely
infuriating.
Every"body"'s body has a set point where it is most comfortable at and has significant trouble moving off of that weight. For some reason
it seems that my body chose to settle on a set point right when I had that last 10 pounds to lose. Perhaps it is because of the
significant weight gain during pregnancy.
I also must face the problem of my lack of clothes that fit comfortably. You can usually fit into your regular clothes when you have 10 pounds to lose, but they just don't feel and look good on you. Although, I can fit into some of my pre-pregnancy clothing; I just don't feel that they look good on me and I know that they don't feel good. I can squeeze into my favorite pair of jeans but I can't sit down in them. I like to be comfortable, so wearing most of my wardrobe is out of the question.
I'm sure that they weight will eventually come off if I just don't lose my willpower. I lost forty pounds without significant problems. At first, the weight melted off and I could hardly believe how easy it was. Soon the weight loss began to slow down, but I found that increasing my activity and cutting out a few calories did the trick. Now with the last 10 pounds to lose, I am in a whole new situation.
Maybe this is my body's way of telling me that it is time to get serious about my fitness routine. A little run around the block three
times each week is not going to do the trick. With only 10 pounds to lose, I feel very motivated to reach that seemingly unattainable goal. I've made it this far, I'm sure with a little added effort can lose the rest.
